Season’s Greetings. Our repeat recent visit from Pandemonium was much enjoyed. We found the singing and audience participation (seated this time) very good fun. Just right as an antidote to Covid-19 and for lifting the spirits at any time.
Gill Morgan-Jones, on behalf of the committee and members of Wheatley WI
It was a real pleasure to have you entertain us for an hour December 2021 at our U3A. Everybody I have spoken to has said how much they enjoyed it and it was an uplifting tonic after the year we have all had. I am sure we will see you back again. Many, many thanks and my best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.
John Orchard, Chairman, Abingdon U3A

Many thanks for making our Silver Wedding Anniversary such a successful and enjoyable evening. Many of our guests commented on how good the band were and that the range and pace of the dances was just right. We were all able to relax and enjoy spending time with our friends and family, knowing that you had all the entertainment covered.
Alison and Pete Knight – Silver Wedding Barn Dance
Thank you very much to everyone at Pandemonium for performing at the Museum last Tuesday. I’ve heard a lot of great feedback about the concert. As well as raising more than £270 from the ticket sales, we also made nearly £100 more from the cafe that evening. BIG thanks for your talents and support! We look forward to having you here again in December.
Clare Kirk, Business & Facilities Manager, Vale & Downland Museum, Wantage
On behalf of us all, thank you so much for kick-starting our Christmas. We had something of everything – music, sing-a-long, puppet show, exercise class and, finally, comedy. I’m sure from the reaction of the group you will know that we thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. Please pass on our thanks to all your Group and we wish you all a Happy Christmas and peaceful and happy 2019.
Rita Gilbert, Trinity Evergreens’ Club, Abingdon
On behalf of the Friends of Shippon please accept a big thank you for the great evening of fun and entertainment. There was a great buzz around the hall and and I know that a number of our older (and more reluctant members) really enjoyed themselves. The audience participation was made all the better by the moves of the birthday boy. Bless him, he is still convinced that his wife was in on it! Hopefully we will see you again in the future.
Carole Haveron, Friends of Shippon
Thank you so much for such a brilliant barn dance last Friday at the farm! You are such a fantastic band and caller making sure everyone had such a fab evening! Thank you all so very much for all your hard work, musical skills etc. and making the evening so enjoyable. I think everyone left feeling uplifted in spirit and smiling, and some had a dancing workout! We will recommend you to anyone/everyone who asks. Aubrey is ready for the next one!
Slatter Family Barn Dance
Thank you all for such joyful entertainment yesterday. I know all our members enjoyed it as much as I did. I hope you will come and entertain us again before too long.
Marcia Graham – Hanney Senior Citizens’ Club
Thank you for a wonderful evening’s entertainment. In fairness, after twenty-six years, it is no surprise that you got it so right.
Bill Lipscomb, Archway Foundation
What a wonderful evening we had yesterday. Thank you so much, you really lifted everybody’s spirits. It always makes me feel a little emotional when I see the members get up and dance; I get a warm feeling that I’m witnessing something very special. Your group members give out that happy, relaxed vibe which really puts your audience at ease. And, particularly, you – made us all feel that anything goes as long as we were having fun. You could see that you had worked your magic when you managed to get everyone up to dance at the end – truly beautiful. I definitely would love to see you at the Club again next year.
Julie and The 14 Club, Fitzwaryn School, Wantage
Thank you very much for coming to entertain our U3A this morning. Everyone I spoke to afterwards said how much they enjoyed the entertainment, which I think was obvious from the number of people who joined in with the singing and actions. I am sure we will be asking you back at some time in the not too distant future.
Julie West, U3A, Thame
Just to thank you for coming to our rescue at short notice (saving the WI from a hurried quiz found on the internet) and being absolutely fabulous! One email puts it like this: ‘What a super cheerful evening Pandemonium turned out to be. Enjoyed by all, only a shame we had so few members present.’ Which leads me to hope that you may return at some point in the future and delight us all over again. With many thanks and best wishes to you all.
Jane on behalf of all the members at Begbroke WI
A huge thank you to Pandemonium for a fantastic evening of music and dancing at our Harvest Barn Dance. Everyone enjoyed the music and dancing so much – great fun was had by all. We raised a great sum of money to go towards repairing our church roof – thank you again!
Chic Cook on behalf of St Mary’s Church, Childrey
Please pass on our gratitude to all of Pandemonium for entertaining and being so inclusive for our very unique audience. In an ever increasing uncaring society it is wonderful to find that you and your colleagues make a point of treating a lot of vulnerable and marginalised Oxonians as they should be treated… ie as good people with feelings and a need to be nurtured. I look forward to booking you for another of your entertainment evenings. I think Pandemonium has been adopted as one of our friends’ favourites. God bless you all.
Bill Lipscomb, The Archway Foundation, Oxford (serving those hurt by loneliness)
Just a short note to say an enormous thank you on behalf of all our members, committee and helpers. We thoroughly enjoy your performances and hope we shall see you again soon. Thanks to donations such as yours and the support you give by coming along, the Club is going through a very exciting time with new members and helpers. Thank you again.
Tim Pocock, The Fourteen Club, Wantage (for people with learning disabilities)
What a fantastic St Patrick’s afternoon you gave us. It was such fun, and everyone had a really great time. We were all buzzing as we went home. It was just what we needed. Thank you all so very much. We will have to save up so we can ask you back again. I’m already trying to think up a special occasion!
Many thanks to you all. Very best wishes.
Poppy, The 50+ Club, New Marsdon, Oxford
Dear Pandemonium
On behalf of Wantage Counselling Service I would like to thank you for giving your time so generously to support our recent fund-raising event. The evening was a great success and I couldn’t help myself from singing along and doing the sit-down dance! It is only through events like these that we can continue to provide the valuable counselling work that we do.
Thanks again, Heidi Black, Directory, Wantage Counselling Service
Thank you for your generosity last Saturday, by providing Abingdon RDA with such an enjoyable and fun evening. Everyone who attended seemed to really enjoy the evening, and it was lovely to see so many of our riders up and dancing. Please pass on our thanks to all the band members.
Rachel, Riding for the Disabled Abingdon (RDA)
Please pass on our thanks to all the band for the wonderful time we had last Friday night here at the farm. It was such fun and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. It was so good to see so many dancers of all ages having such fun together. The whole evening was an enormous success. We have had so many requests to do another evening possibly even before Christmas!!! I will get back to you when I have spoken to the team. We managed to raise some funds which we will be putting to good use improving the facilities. Please pass on our grateful thanks to all the band.
Julia and the team at The Vine
Thank you all very much for making my 60th birthday party such a cheerful celebration. I thought that your energy, enthusiasm, expertise and sheer joy in playing was inspiring and great fun. You involved every age group brilliantly and paced the dances perfectly .
Angela
A huge thank you to you all. You were absolutely great and really made the evening a huge success. I know the congregation will be talking about it for ages! The couple, Luke and Mary, were thrilled to have such a wonderful send-off.
St Paul’s Banbury Church, Family Barn Dance
It was really lovely to see you at the party and your band are very, very good. The party was a success largely because your music was brilliant and everyone in the band was so friendly. We shall recommend you heartily to anyone who will care to listen and to those who don’t care to listen! We had a great evening and I would heartily recommend your group to anyone.
Karen, Silver Wedding
The entertainment was throughly enjoyed by our clients and staff. Nobody could stop tapping to your wonderful music. We would love to book you again.
Wantage Day Centre

On behalf of the Archway Foundation, please accept my thanks for yet another great evening’s entertainment. The high turnout, on a miserable evening, reflects the esteem to which you are held by our friends and volunteers alike. There is no doubt that you are our friends’ favourite entertainers! God bless you.
The Archway Foundation, Oxford
On behalf of the Trustees of the Vale and Downland Museum, I wish to thank you and the other members of Pandemonium, along with Pete Orton, for your generosity in staging Music and Laughter at Lains Barn on our behalf. It was a very successful evening and the monies raised will be going towards our new Building Fund. Once again, thank you for devoting your time and energies for the museum.
Terry Fraser, Chairman of the Trustees, Vale and Downland Museum
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed all the wonderful music and entertainment you provided. It was great fun. May we wish you all a great Summer season and many thanks from all the family.

Wantage Nursing Home
Wow! I didn’t realise that we had such talent right on our doorstep. I wish to say a huge thank you to all of you for giving up your evening for us. It was pitched at exactly the right level and our service users are still talking about what a fantastic evening they had. We work very hard in the Coffee Shop and it was so lovely to see everyone in such a relaxed frame of mind instead of baking cakes and washing dishes! Hope to see you again in the not too distant future. Thank you and God bless.
Jenny Collier
Thank you and the band for yet again providing the music for our Burns’ Night on Saturday, it was a most successful evening due to the enthusiasm and talent provided by Pandemonium. I think it was the best ever.
Peter J Rushton
Everyone enjoyed it and many of the members have requested that we ask you for a return visit. I hope that the group enjoyed it as much as we did. Thank you again.
Stadhampton British Legion
Just a brief note to say very many thanks for the excellent performance the band gave us last night. We really did have a very wonderful evening, and the music contributed significantly to that. Not only was it high quality musically, but it was obvious that effort had been put in to meet our needs and fit in with the feel of the event. Please pass on our heartfelt thanks to the other band members.
John Tranter
It was a great success and everyone enjoyed your varied repertoire immensely. Hope to see you again before long.
