CD No. 3 Hats off to Wantage
Our latest CD Hats off to Wantage is due for release December 2011.
If you'd like to buy a copy, then please contact Pandemonium using the link at the bottom of this page.
The CD celebrates our 20 years of playing together. We regularly perform in and around the Wantage area and the title of the CD is taken from a dance tune especially written by band member Wanda Oberman, to celebrate the Oxfordshire Millennium in 2007.
Hats off to Wantage has a selection of foot tapping tunes, soulful melodies and well known songs reflecting the range of music for which we are known.
Carol Warren-Smith, who produced the album, said “We are proud of our Wantage connection and heritage and hope this selection will give as much enjoyment to the listeners as we have had putting the tunes together. This is a first for Pandemonium, in that the CD was recorded and mixed in-house at The Hilltribe Studios in Wantage by band member Howard Hill."
And when we get a moment, we'll get some sound bites onto this page.
CDs No.1 and 2
We released our first CD “Pandemonium” in June 2002 and, having received many requests for a follow-up, we recorded our second CD, suitably entitled “More Pandemonium”, in October 2005. You can obtain a copy by emailing us at enquiries@pandemoniumwantage.org.uk.
Samples from the CD can be heard on this web-site – just follow the links.
For each CD we pass on, we donate 50p to local Oxfordshire charities. A recent recipient has been: K.E.E.N. (Kids Enjoy Exercise Now). This charity is run by volunteers and helps children and young adults with special needs in Oxfordshire. It offers therapy through music, art, drama and sport and we are delighted to offer our support to such a worthy cause. More information can be found at: http://users.ox.ac.uk/~keen/ We have also made donations to the Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary in Brightwell-Cum-Sotwell, a registered charity which cares for and protects abused and ill-treated donkeys and other animals. More information can be found at: www.donkeyrescue.co.uk.
